MoMeNtUm: HiGh ScHoOl CoNfErEnCe:

Momentum 2013 is July 16th -21st, and we are already SUPER excited!!  We have and are putting together fundraisers to raise money for about 12-15 kids in the youth group to go to this conference!  Anyone who is going into 9th grade thru college age is elidgeable to go.  The cost is about $600 .... this is a lot of money for each kid to raise, but it is a bit easier for the kids who participate in cleaning teams and fundraisers as they get money each month in thier youth account.  We want anyone of this age group to be able to go and participate in the conference sessions and serving opportunities.  Last year's theme was "The Unseen," and this year's theme is "I Am Second!"  Momentum 2012 was our first CE National conference, and it had the biggest impact on our youth group of the year.  God really spoke to them in awesome ways to make them think about seeing the unseen peoples of the world the way Jesus did.  The speakers were amazing and really challenged the kids' personal realtionship with Jesus to go deeper and grow stronger.  

Pray with us about Momentum 2013 that God will work in mighty and awesome ways in the hearts of the high school kids, that He would protect those traveling to and from Indiana for the conference, and for a continued fire to live for Jesus in Joplin and at Grace Baptist Church once the kids return home from Momentum.  We can't wait for July 16th to get here!! :)

The youth at Grace are divided up into four cleaning teams that clean the church once a week.  Instead of the church paying a cleaning company, they have graciously offered to pay the youth to clean.  The money each kid earns from cleaning is put into an account in their name to only be used for camps, conferences, or church/youth outtings.  For more info, contact Jessica at 417.438.9905
